1st drops...

The fresh falling leaves give chase like a pack of blood hounds after a rabbit, while some move away like am an untouchable...some lay plastered to the freshly wet tarmac with dried flattened pods in between, and flowers flung from some unknown branch of an unknown tree, all in a scattered uniformity like the stone pieces in a mosaic...the rain comes in a pace of an engine kept idle for long...it sputters then gushes...roars...sweeps..but it does not stab,it is nimble and delicate to touch...people..they are always the strangest lot...inside cars, in the artificial cooling they frown adjusting the various wiper speeds...in bikes they are a dejected lot..yet again losing to mother nature's untimely fury...they accept their wrongs and get rinsed and cleaned...an all-too-familiar sight of a beggar boy in clothes which have more holes than fabric...but his expression of sheer delight and the uncomplicated, joyous, blissful smile he showcases as he dashes in the downpour still wiping the wind-shields of the cars, without even asking for money, pulls at some unkonwn chord..humanity...childhood...when rain meant get wet, float paper boats...not think damn the shirt, the smartphone getting wet in the pocket, shoes soaked that need to be worn tomorrow...breathe...tingle and play with the long-lost smell of the fresh mud...see the wild antics of the birds...take a gust of cool wind mixed with cooler water drops in the face...stop thinking of the season's first rains acid content...relax...let go off the race...it will continue tomorrow....live for the moments...idolize the simplicity of that boy...feel the foam in between your toes...feel the skin getting wrinkled...let the spectacles cloud....give in...
